About Me...
I have been a qualified hypnotherapist and counsellor since 2015 and have been running my own business for just as long, leaving office work in January 2017 to become a full-time therapist.
I have the following counselling qualifications:
Advanced Integrative Diploma in REBT/CBT
Level three in counselling and hypnotherapy.
Alongside running Amanda Hudson Therapy, I also volunteer at the Hummingbird Centre; a drop-in centre and charity for those affected by cancer. Here I am the Lead counsellor (a role I split with Rebecca Johns), where we manage a team of twenty volunteer counsellors, giving them the guidance and support needed to flourish.
I am a qualified HOPE course facilitator and assessor, a Macmillan run course for those moving forward after cancer.
Outside of therapy, I have a mild obsession with tea and can usually be found with my head stuck in a book. I love travelling – whether that’s physically on an adventure holiday or in my head with a good fantasy novel. I am also incredibly passionate about the environment and mental health.
I have an enduring love of animals and my Aylesbury office is also home to a host of therapy fish, 1 sassy rabbit and 2 cats.
George, our cuddliest family member, is a dab hand at calming anxiety and making those difficult moments a little easier. He can be included in your therapeutic journey if requested.
