I have been a qualified hypnotherapist and counsellor since 2015 (Accredited National Counselling Society Member) and have been running my own business for just as long, leaving office work in January 2017 to become a full-time therapist.

I have the following qualifications:

  • Advanced Integrative Diploma in REBT/CBT

  • Level three in counselling and hypnotherapy.

  • Certificate in Compassion Focused Therapy: Advanced Clinical Skills

  • Certificate in Polyvagal Theory

  • Certificate in Relational Neuroscience: Interpersonal Neurobiology of trauma

  • Certificate in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

  • Level 1 Makaton Training

Alongside running Amanda Hudson Therapy, I previously managed a team of thirty counsellors during the pandemic for the Hummingbird Centre; a wonderful drop-in centre and charity for those affected by cancer.

I am also a qualified HOPE course facilitator and assessor, a Macmillan run course for those moving forward after cancer.

About me: About Me

Outside of therapy, I have a mild obsession with tea and can usually be found with my head stuck in a book. I love travelling – whether that’s physically on an adventure holiday or in my head with a good fantasy novel. I am also incredibly passionate about the environment and mental health.

I have an enduring love of animals and share my home with lots of tropical fish, 1 sassy rabbit and 2 spoilt cats.

I am also a vocal advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, women's right, animal rights and trauma survivors.
